Schedule an ExamAbout Diagnostic Ultrasound
Diagnostic ultrasound — also called sonography — uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of your internal organs, blood vessels, and soft tissues. A handheld device called a transducer is gently moved over your skin, converting the returning sound waves into detailed images on a monitor.
It is completely safe, non-invasive, painless, and involves no radiation. Ultrasound is one of the most widely used and trusted diagnostic tools in modern medicine.
Absolutely. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, diagnostic ultrasound uses sound waves — not ionizing radiation — making it completely safe for all patients, including pregnant women and children. There are no known side effects, and the technology has been used safely in medicine for decades.
Clearview Imaging is a boutique, single-sonographer studio designed to feel nothing like a typical medical facility. You'll experience a soothing, spa-like environment, virtually no wait times, and truly personalized care from an ARDMS-registered sonographer who has been in practice for over 14 years.
We also offer transparent, self-pay pricing — so you know exactly what you'll pay before you arrive — along with results delivered to your doctor within 4–6 hours. There are no crowded waiting rooms, no rushed appointments, and no confusing bills.
All exams are performed by Stephanie Seyler, RDMS — the founder of Clearview Imaging and a registered diagnostic medical sonographer credentialed in Abdominal (AB), OB/GYN, and Breast (BR) ultrasound through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). She has been practicing since 2011.
All images are then reviewed and interpreted by board-certified radiologists at Rapid Radiology, a national leader in teleradiology services. The full diagnostic report is sent directly to your referring physician.
Appointments & Preparation
Yes. Florida law requires a physician's order with an accurate ICD-10 diagnosis code before we can perform any diagnostic ultrasound exam. Please ensure your doctor or their office sends the order to Clearview Imaging prior to booking your appointment.
Orders can be sent via email at clearvimagingorlando@gmail.com or by text to (321) 307-1937. Please ensure the order includes your full name, date of birth, the exam requested, and a diagnosis code.
Preparation varies by exam type. Here are the general guidelines:
Abdominal studies (liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen): Fast for 4–6 hours before your appointment. Water is fine to drink. For kidney or bladder exams, drink 32 oz. of water about 1 hour before your appointment and avoid urinating until after the exam.
Vascular & Doppler studies (carotid, arterial, venous, aorta): No fasting is required. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and avoid caffeine the morning of your exam. Stay well-hydrated.
Thyroid ultrasound: No preparation is needed. Wear a top with a low or open neckline for easy access.
We'll confirm your specific instructions when you schedule your appointment.
Please bring the following to your appointment:
• A valid government-issued photo ID
• A copy of your physician's order (if available — we may already have it on file)
• Your insurance card (for your own records; we provide a superbill for reimbursement)
• Your preferred payment method (cash, credit/debit, HSA/FSA, or CareCredit)
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to complete intake paperwork.
Most ultrasound exams take between 30 and 60 minutes from arrival to completion, depending on the study ordered. Because we schedule by appointment, you'll rarely have to wait — your time is fully yours. We'll give you a more accurate time estimate when you book.
All appointments are scheduled in advance. This ensures you receive dedicated, unhurried, one-on-one attention — no crowded waiting rooms, no long delays. Please call, text, or book online to reserve your time. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available.
Results, Payment & Insurance
For routine exams, your referring physician will receive a full diagnostic report from our board-certified radiologists at Rapid Radiology within 4–6 hours of your exam.
For STAT (urgent) orders, results are delivered within 2 hours. If your physician needs STAT turnaround, please let us know when you schedule and when you arrive for your appointment.
Clearview Imaging is currently a self-pay imaging center — we do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to offer transparent, competitive pricing with no surprise fees, and means you pay a fraction of what you might at a hospital-based facility.
We will gladly provide you with an itemized receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients find our self-pay prices to be lower than their insurance co-pay or deductible.
We accept the following payment methods, all due at the time of service:
• Cash
• All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
• HSA and FSA cards
• CareCredit
During your exam, Stephanie will walk you through what she's seeing in real time as appropriate — we want you to feel informed, not kept in the dark. The formal diagnostic report, however, is generated by the interpreting radiologist and sent directly to your referring physician, who will discuss the findings with you at your follow-up appointment.
You may request a copy of your images or report at any time — simply contact us and we'll assist you.
